In Latvia, you, your representative or your attorney-at-law can regularly ask the investigative judge, or the court if the trial has started, to consider whether the grounds and the need to keep you in a mental health care institution for a forensic psychiatric assessment still persist.

In certain cases, the review has to be initiated by the investigative judge or the court itself.
