Non-prescription medicines can be purchased by anyone without a prescription from a doctor, as they do not usually cause a threat to a person’s health, if used properly.

If used properly, the pharmacological properties and possible adverse reaction caused by them do not usually cause a direct or indirect threat to a person’s health. 

Non-prescription medicines can be purchased at a pharmacy. Your doctor will usually consult with you before the purchase or, when you are buying non-prescription medicines, the pharmacist should tell you how to use them properly.

example Pain killers, medicine against cold and flu, medicine for digestion, food supplements and homeopathic medicines are all examples of non-prescription medicine.
